What is an Amazon FBA Inspection
An Amazon FBA Inspection checks your goods against Amazon's fulfilment requirements before they are sent to an FBA warehouse. Inspectors verify FNSKU labelling, carton weights and dimensions, polybag warnings, shipping marks and prep quality at the factory, while corrections are still cheap. For sellers shipping finished consumer goods from China to the US or Europe, a China FBA inspection is far cheaper than the receiving rejections, unplanned prep fees and stranded inventory caused by non-compliant cartons.
What the inspection covers
- Carton weight and dimension limits against Amazon's current requirements for your destination marketplace, including heavy-carton labels
- FNSKU barcode scans on sampled units, correct label placement and no mismatched or duplicated barcodes
- Polybag suffocation warnings — required text, legibility and bag-size compliance
- Prep requirements such as bubble wrap, sealed closures, bundled sets and multi-pack labelling

When to book an FBA inspection
Book after goods are finished and packed and FNSKU labels are applied, but before the shipment is closed and handed to your forwarder. It is commonly combined with a pre-shipment inspection (PSI) in the same visit: the PSI samples loose product by AQL sampling, while the FBA check reviews packed cartons, labels and marks. Send the booking two to three working days ahead; a fixed-fee quote comes back within one working day.
